MODEL RELEASED. Bladder cancer surgery. Surgeon performing a transurethral resection of a bladder tumour (TURBT) on a patient with cancer of the bladder lining. After removal of the tumour the bladder is washed out via an endoscope inserted in the patient's urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. The tissue is collected in the plastic device and some will be sent for diagnostic testing. This is minimally invasive, or keyhole, surgery and requires minimal aftercare. For the entire sequence see clips K002/9557 to K002/9577.
