Pastimes of Our King. In this informal picture His Majesty; seen leaving the court after a strenuous game at the Wimbledon championships; looks the keen athlete that he is. The King is a first-class lawn tennis player and has a fine variety of strokes. As he walks towards the pavilion; still deep in concentration; it will be noticed that he is carrying his rackets in his right hand. Actually he is a left-handed player; and possesses an excellent forehand drive which one well-known competitor at Wimbledon described as being good enough to trouble the best of players. Illustration for Photocard issued by Ardath Tobacco in c.1936.
