The large psammodromus (Psammodromus algirus) is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae. A robust lizard with heavily keeled scales, the patterns with pale yellow stripes makes this species easy to identify from other lacertid species. The species is native to southern France and the Iberian peninsular. Photographed in Andalucia, Spain, in March.
