The lower half of the bowl has a ribbed wall; divided into a band of elongated compartments with characters. Above that a band with three birds on a rock or a branch and medallions and cartouches with landscapes; people or napkins. The inner edge with a broad band with the 'three friends of winter' (bamboo; pine; prunus); with a bird on the prunus branch. The bottom is unglazed. Marked on the bottom with a six-character mark in a double circle and a depressed four-character mark.
