BULBOUS VESSEL WITH WIDE OPENING ON FLARED FOOT
Thailand. Ban Chiang. Late period; ca. 300 BC - 300 AD.

Ceramic with iron-red painting; coloured partly changed to orange-red while firing; blackened on the inside. The fine lines of the painting are arranged in bows; spirals and partly oval reserves. The lip and the rim are decorated by a cross border. Height 31 cm; ?27 cm. Condition C. Repaired.Art trade; Van Ham.
