China. Ming Dynasty. 15th/16th c.

Bronze with dark patina and black lacquer. On the body in relief persons in landscapes; with fine engraved patterns in the background. The lip is offset with a square frame; the handles on both sides are set straigt upright. At the lip a bit of a fine pattern is visible under the lacquer. On four bent legs; emerging from lion's faces. Height 19cm. Condition A/B. Supplement: Large mirror with relief decoration and the inscriptions: Xi sheng gui zi. Bronze. China. ?31.5cm. Condition A/B.
