Comparative light micrographs of gastric pyloric antrum stained with haematoxylin and eosin (top) and PAS method (bottom) showing several typical features of the pyloric gastric mucosa as the great depth of the gastric crypts, the presence of pyloric glands and of lymphoid follicles. The mucous cells of the surface epithelium and gastric pits is stained with the PAS method.
