Dubrovnik, Croatia - 10 September 2016 Dubrovnik is a historic Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea, in the region of Dalmatia. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a busy seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Today, the beautiful Old Town is surrounded by stunningly preserved defensive walls, and contains many notable historic churches, museums, palaces and monasteries; St Saviours Church and the adjacent Franciscan Monastery are shown here. Regretfully, this historic legacy, combined with a beautiful climate and crystalline surrounding seas, has led to its idestructive nundation by tourism.
