Her Face Got Her A Food Parcel From U.S.A. Mrs. Margaret Buchart studying a picture of the housewives protest march last night after she heard the news about the food parcel coming to her from U.S.A. The face of Mrs. Margaret Buchart, young housewife of Teddington, Middlesex, (near London) peeped modestly out of the back row in the photograph of 32 women snapped outside Britain's House of Commons, where they had gone to protest against the meagre meat ration. But the little "peep" caught and held the eye of a Michigan (U.S.A.) motor plant policeman, Mr. S. Gerald Richards, when the story and the photograph appeared in a U.S. newspaper. March 10, 1951.
