Dibekacin drug molecule. Ball-and-stick molecular model of dibekacin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic developed in Japan. It is a derivative of another antibiotic, kanamycin, and is often used in combination with sulbenicillin. It is used to treat infections caused by kanamycin-resistant bacteria via protein synthesis inhibition. Its chemical formula is C18H37N5O8. Atoms are represented as spheres with conventional colour coding: hydrogen (white), carbon (black), oxygen (red), and nitrogen (blue).
