John Liddiard Nicholas (1784-1868) accompanied Marsden on one of his trips to New Zealand, then wrote in 1817: Narrative of a voyage to New Zealand performed in the years 1814 and 1815 in company with the Rev Samual Marsden, principal chaplain of New South Wales); 穢 Museum of New Zealand te Papa Tongarewa .
