Charlotte Fire Department vehicle, North Carolina, USA, August 1935. It was the first enclosed Sedan-type fire appliance in America -- a six-cylinder engine of 160 horsepower with a pumping capacity of 750 gallons per minute. It was fitted with a 100 gallon water tank to which was fitted 250 feet of booster pump hose.
