Built originally for the Metropolitan Fire Brigade in 1871, St Johns Wood fire station was located in Adelaide Road, NW London. It became the responsibility of the London County Council in 1889 upon the creation of the LCC, when the LCC took charge of London's fire service. The MFB was renamed to the London Fire Brigade the same year. The station was closed in 1915.
