A new concept for Apollo astronaut safety in depressurization emergencies is tested in an Air Force C-131. The 'Doff-and-Don Bag' can be pressurized to provide protection if the spacecraft loses pressurization. Inside the bag, tested here by Lt. Edwin H. Sasaki, the astronaut can put on his spacesuit. These tests took slightly more than two minutes to reach the point of fastening the neck ring. Parabolas flown in the C-131 lasted an average of 22 seconds each. Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, 1964.
