Exhibition halls surround an open patio and pond. Mexico's most visited and important museum. The museum contains the world's largest collection of ancient Mexican art and artifacts, from the Pre-Columbian heritage of Mexico. There is a hall, dedicated to each of the cultural regions of Central America (Mexico especially), and ethnographic exhibits, about Mexico's present-day indigenous groups. The ethnographic exhibits, are located on the second floor of the museum.
