The Banded Goliath Catfish, Brachyplatystoma tigrinum, is a stunning catfish from the Amazon River Basin. The species is harvested for food (adults to 60cm) and for export in the aquarium trade. This specimen was photographed in the Peruvian Amazon 2010.
