A Guineafowl Puffer (Arothron meleagris) in Cocos Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 330 miles offshore Costa Rica in the Pacific Ocean. The skin of this puffer, which can range in color from yellow to purple/black/blue with white dots, may contain toxic tetraodotoxin, a strong neurotoxin produced by a bacteria called Alteromonas tetraodonis.
