The Reich Citizenship Law (September 15, 1935) and the First Regulation to the Reich Citizenship Law (November 14, 1935) The Reichstag passed the so-called Nuremberg Laws (or 'Nuremberg Racial Laws') on September 15, 1935, during the Seventh Reich Party Rally of the NSDAP in Nuremberg. Henceforth, these laws formed the basis of the Nazi persecution of the Jews. The 'Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honor' ('Blood Protection Law') aimed to isolate the Jews racially and socially by prohibiting them, under pain of severe punishment, from marrying or having sexual relations with non-Jews.
