Mr De Valera, Eireann Prime Minister with Frank Aiken, Minister of Finance, and Mr Sean Lemass, Deputy Premier, arrived at Northolt by air from Dublin this morning, for important Anglo-Eireann trade talks with leading British minister. This is Mr De Valera's first visit since 1938 and it will be brief, for he is expected to fly to Paris tomorrow for the Marshall Plan Talks. Importance of these talks is emphasised by the fact that Eire wishes to sell more eggs, butter, bacon, potatoes, ham and poultry, commodities, which Britain needs. In return, Britain can help by stepping up her exports of coal to Eire.
