The industrial and cultural life of Wales is broadly shown in all its aspects at the industrial Wales exhibition, opened at Olympia today by the right honourable Viscount portal, PC, DSO, MVO. The exhibition demonstrates primarily the development of the country's young light industries, and also the great Welsh Basic industries of coal, steel and tinplate. Picture shows: a stand at the exhibition showing handcrafts from the Welsh valleys. All these articles are made from Welsh materials by the wives of miners.
