British film star Valerie Hobson is also something of a star on the snooker table. So much so that she has been elected president of the women's snooker and billiards Association of Great Britain. Valerie, a left-handed player, who is now playing opposite Stewart Granger in the Cineguild Technicolor production "Blanche Fury", puts in much of her time off the set at Pinewood Studios practising on the tables there. 16 April 1947
