The King's new jockey (who succeeds J Smith) is W.H Carr of Armstrong's stable Midland, Yorkshire. Mr Carr who is 30, is the height of the successful racing career, he went Indian 1937 to ride for H.H captain the maharaja of Cooch Behar and plans to return there for the winter season this year. He will also be first jockey for captain Boyd Rochfort's stable at which the King's horses at Newmarket are trained. Picture Shows: Mr Carr at his home, Middleham, Yorkshire. 25 September 1946
