The King and Queen were present today at the private view of an exhibition at the Tate Gallery, London. The exhibition, the first of its kind to be shown in London consists of works by American artist of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, selected by a committee of the chief art galleries in the United States and brought to England by Mr John Walker, chief curator of the National Gallery of Art, Washington. 13 June 1946
