Ice Cream Sunday! London : Ice cream and a couple of pretty faces ...a double Sunday treat for eighty - year -old Chelsea Pensioner Robert Smart . Robert was one of 12 Pensioners invited to the first birthday celebrations of King ' s Road ' s " Chelsea Drugstore " . Stella Moss ( on left ) aged 17 from Manchester and 21 year old Sarah Jennings of Chelsea , were asked to help distribute the ice cream to the Pensioners and " all the kids in Chelsea " on behalf of the Drugstore . Also present at the " ice cream party " were the stars from the young - cast musical " Anne of Green Gables " and young film actor Mark Lester who plays " Oliver " in the musical of the same name . 27 July 1969
