Leslie Walter Ludlow aged 3 and a half and Mrs Margaret Gwendoline Ludlow aged 27 are dead as a result of a fire at 13 Wellington Street in Gravesend Two others - a man and woman - were injured The injuries apart from burns were caused by the people jumping from a blazing bedroom into an area 30 ft below The bay was thrown from the blazing bedroom His father Mr Walter Ludlow attempted to catch him He broke his fall but the child crashed into the area and received fatal injuries The mother died in hospital Mr Ludlow got hold of his 17 months old baby Derek at the height of the fire and handed him to a woman Photo shows Mrs Margaret Gwendonlien Ludlow holding Leslie Walter Ludlow September 6th 1935
