Miss Gracie Fields ( famous variety film and music hall artist ) signed the contract for a film for the largest sum ever paid to a British film star in this country at the offices of her manager Mr Aza in Charing Cross Road in West Central London - the film is to be made by Associated Talking Pictures - photo shows Miss Gracie Fields signing the contract with Mr Baker the Managing Director of Associated Talking Pictures on her left and Mr B Henry the Manager of Distributing Department and Mr Bert Aza her manager on the right February 1st 1935
