A new type of container for the conveyance of unpacked bicycles from the manufacturers to the shops without handling en route has been put into service by the Great Western Railway - each cycle is carried and finally fixed on a specially padded sliding bar which is supported at each end on a running rail and each container holds about 75 bicycles carried in two tiers one above the other - photo shows railway employees trying out the new container October 28th 1934
