After what can be described as a rather stony romance the wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church in Brompton of Miss Jasmine van de Wayer and Mr Francis Basil Banbury - the engagement of Miss van de Weyer ( who is the youngest daughter of Major and the Hon Mrs van de Weyer of Glyffe House Doract ) to Mr Banbury ( who is the eldest son of Mr R E Banbury of Chileates in Baldock Herts ) was first announced on December 21st but to everybody's surprise the engagement was suddenly broken off on May 29th for family reasons shortly afterwards however the couple became engaged again October 6th 1934
