D Day plus five years June 6, 1944 and the Liberation armies stormed into Normandy. In the wake of Allies went cameraman E.G. Malindine. Now on D Day's fifth anniversary, he takes his cameras back to the old battlegrounds, on which a new Normandy is being built. Favourite spot with troops on leave at Bayeux was the cafe de L'Univers. Now the sign has beeen repainted and there is a new proprietor, Pierre Duval. During the war, Pierre and his wife were running a rival cafe along main street. Greengrocer on bicycle is Ivan Cluttu. He's wearing a British army beret, as so many do in these Normandy towns.
