General Franco inspects theTeruel front for himself. General Francisco Franco , the commander-in-chief of the Spanish Nationalists, inspected for himself the situation at Teruel, key town in Aragon, when he accompanied Nationalist reinforcements to the front. Teruel is still held by the Spanish Government troops. Despite the furious counter-attacks of General Franco's men, which the Government troops have successfully repulsed. Photo shows, General Franco (extreme right) during his inspection of the Teruel front. Centre of the picture (with bare head) is General Aranda, new commander of the Nationalist troops at Teruel, and with back to camera nearest General Franco on right is General Davild, Nationalist northern commander-in-chief. 17 January 1938
