In an effort to impress "safety first" schoolchildren in the district, 12,000 boys and girls of Wembley, London, are being issued with road licences. Licenses contain simple safety first rules, a page for a cycle permit and a section for endorsements. Infractions of the rules results in endorsement by school prefects or teachers. Originators of the ideas is Miss M E Hill, headmistress of the Barham Road School, Wembley.
