Elephant and Castle warehouse in flames, tremendous crowds watch. Fires involving all the four floors of the building, broke out at Messrs, Shorter Bros, China warehouse, as the elephant and Castle during the rush hour. The famous Spurgeon's Tabernacle, adjoining the warehouse, was threatened by the flames. Photo shows, clouds of smoke billowing from the burning building, just after the outbreak of the fire.
