Queen Mary presents Victorian "knick-knacks" to Britain's only open-air museum. A number of Victorian "knick-knacks", including a sampler (dated 1827) from a child's work box and an ivory and mother-of-pearl writing tablet, has been presented by Queen Mary to the Abbey Folk Park and Museum, New Barnet - the only open-air museum in the country. The "knick-knacks" are to be exhibited in an old-time shop which is being built in the park, attached to the Abbey of Christ the King, New Barnet, Hertfordshire. Photo shows: Father J. S. M. Ward, the Father Superior of the Abbey, with mahogany tea-caddy and ink stand from the collection sent by Queen Mary. 17 March 1936
