A man who was born just after the outbreak of the French Revolution and who has seen the world change through three centuries, has been discovered in the little village of Chalaubani, Georgia, Soviet Russia. Said to be the world's oldest man he is Andrei Gviniashvili, who has worked on the land most of his life. Born in the last decade of the 18th century, Andrei is 145 years old, but has the appearance of a man only half his age.
