Huge crowds were present at the wedding of Fred Cliffe , 24 years of age and and 4 ft tall of Blackburn to Norah Buttram aged 22 the same height of Chorlton cum Hardy , Manchester , at St Mary ' s Roman Catholic Church , West Croydon , John Lester , 6ft 2 in gave the bride away . Thirty midgets all circus friends of the bride and bridegroom were in attendance . The romance started when the couple met in the circus ring about two years ago .
