Picture by Roger Bamber: 18 September 2006 : Musician and conceptual artist Jem Finer, a founder member of the Pogues, with his award winning "hybrid water instrument". The gigantic horn modelled on an old gramophone trumpet amplifies the sounds produced by water dropping on a range of percussive instruments. The result, deep in Kings Wood, Challock, Kent, is music generated by nothing more than water and gravity. The installation is called Score For A Hole In The Ground. See story by Maev Kennedy.
