Irish ollamh (dignified philosopher) and a filidhe (herald bard); pre-Roman era. The ollamh wears a saffron cota (tunic); cochal (cloak) and trousers. The filidhe wears white robes and hood; and carries a harp. Handcoloured aquatint by R.
