Hiriya is a former waste dump located south east of Tel Aviv in Israel. It forms a prominent feature on the aerial approach into Ben Gurion International Airport and takes its name from an Arab village Al-Khayriyya that once existed at the same location; to the south of the city of Ramat Gan; until 1948. It is also located on the site of the ancient Jewish town of Bnei Brak which dates back to Roman times.
