Lewis's moon snail shell. Illustration of the shell of Lewis's moon snail (Neverita lewisii), a species of large predatory sea snail of the family Naticidae. It lives in the Eastern Pacific at depths of up to 180 metres. It feeds mainly on bivalve molluscs by drilling a hole in the shell with its radula (rasping structure) and feeding on the organism's soft parts.
