Brontotheriid prehistoric mammals. Computer illustration of Megacerops sp. (left) and Megacerops sp. (right) mammals in a prehistoric landscape. Both lived during the Late Eocene epoch (around 38 to 33 million years ago). Megacerops was found in North America, whilst Embolotherium was found in Mongolia. They are odd-toed ungulates related to horses and had blunt horns on their snouts.
