Diapedesis in inflammatory response. Light micrograph of a section through inflamed tissue where white blood cells (leucocytes) have migrated out of the blood vessels (diapedesis) and into the tissue. This process, also known as leukocyte extravasation, enables the leucocytes to migrate towards the site of tissue damage or infection.
