MODEL RELEASED. Bact-alert blood culture machine. This machine is used to analyse blood samples for the presence of bacteria. It houses aerobic (blue), anaerobic (red) and paediatric (yellow) plastic bottles, each containing a growth medium along with the blood samples. An alarm sounds if the growth of bacteria is detected in any of the bottles. The relevant bottle is then removed for further culturing and analysis.
