Container ship and lorry depot. The containers are the large rectangular boxes stacked up on the deck of the ship and in the depot in the foreground. They are a uniform size for ease of handling and storage. They can be transported by lorries (one at lower right) and then moved on to the ship by the specially designed cranes seen reaching out over the ship.
