Chamomile flowers (Chamaemelum nobile, or Anthemis nobilis). The chamomile is a plant valued for its medicinal properties. Infusions made from the flowers can be drunk for their calming, sedative effect. Preparations of this plant are also applied to swellings to reduce inflammation and pain. It is native to Europe, but has been introduced around the world.
