Orchid flowers (Acanthephippium sylhetense). The Acanthephippium orchids are terrestrial orchids that are found in India, China, the Himalayas and other tropical regions of Asia. Three of the cup- shaped flowers are seen here. The lip (orange) of each flower is a petal that grows with a different shape and colour to the other petals. There are over 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
