A breeding colony of Cape fur seals (Arctocephalus pusillus) at Cape Cross, situated on Namibia's windswept Atlantic Coast. These seals have ears so they are more correctly a species of sea lion. They feed on rich concentrations of fish that thrive in the cold waters of the Benguela Current, eating about 8% of their body weight each day. Cape fur seals are culled for the fine quality of their fur. Purros
