International Space Station construction. Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang using a camera to photograph US astronaut Robert Curbeam in his helmet visor. The astronauts are working to fold the port overhead solar array wing (orange) of the International Space Station (ISS) into its blanket box. The space walk took over 6 hours. The array consists of many solar panels that can be folded up or extended as needed. When unfolded, it is designed to convert the energy in sunlight into electrical energy to power the ISS. This array was installed on the P6 truss of the ISS during mission STS-116 (9-22 December 2006). Photographed on 18 December 2006.
