Thomas Huxley (1825-1895) was an English biologist who popularized Darwin's theory of evolution. David Brewster (1781-1868) was a Scottish physicist who studied optics. Charles Wheatstone (1802-1875) was an English physicist who invented the printing telegraph, concertina and stereoscope. John Tyndall (1820-1893) was an Irish physicist who did research on light.
