This is the first visible-light image of an exoplanet orbiting Formalhaut (about the size of 3 Jupiters), a star in the constellation Piscis Australis. The small planet has been named Formalhaut b, and is about 10.7 billion miles from Formalhaut, and approximately 1. 8 billion miles inside the inner edge of a debris belt similar to the Kuiper Belt in our solar system. The image was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
