He sits on a rock with a long; twisted pipe; blue breech cloth; and dagger in his belt. He holds an ax or tomahawk in his right hand; earrings; and body paint. His hair is mostly shaved except the crown; where there are feathers. The woman wears a blue skirt; necklace; and fur shawl. She holds a small pelt to the Iowa chief. Caption: "From Life Canada.
